SafeNet Authentication Service Private Cloud Edition
Product description
SafeNet Authentication Service Private Cloud Edition (SAS PCE) is an on-premises authentication solution that delivers fully-automated, highly secure authentication with flexible token options tailored to your organization's needs, substantially reducing the total cost of operation.
SafeNet Authentication Service (SAS) is an enterprise-class authentication server designed to extend authentication services to users in a single organization or across multiple entities. These entities can range from divisions or cost centers within a company to subsidiaries or independent organizations. Its multi-tier, multi-tenant structure accommodates a wide range of hierarchies, reporting structures, business structures, security segregations, or other delineations.
SAS PCE provides organizations with an on-premises authentication management solution that can extend authentication services beyond the corporate perimeter. Users can authenticate with the same user ID and tokens they use for the corporate network, providing a consistent and familiar login experience.

Release description
SAS PCE 3.22 SP2
Build Number: 3.22.2.7349
Issue Date: October 2026
This service pack release includes all the features of 3.22 SP1 release, disables provisioning of new MobilePASS 8 tokens, and resolves the issues listed below.
- MobilePASS 8 deprecation - provisioning disabled: New MobilePASS 8 tokens can no longer be provisioned, and MobilePASS 8 is no longer selectable for any target in the SAS Console. A banner informs operators that MobilePASS 8 provisioning is disabled. Already enrolled MobilePASS 8 tokens continue to work. For more details, see MobilePASS 8 deprecation.
Resolved Issues
| Issue | Synopsis |
|---|---|
| SAS-78119 | MobilePASS+ token enrollment through the BSIDCA web services no longer experiences high latency or failures when multiple enrollment requests are initiated simultaneously. The underlying database lock contention has been resolved. |
| SAS-78479 | Token provisioning through the Native (BSIDCA) API no longer fails intermittently under high API traffic. Expired provisioning tasks are once again listed under a user's Authentication Methods in the SAS Console and returned by the provisioning task web service calls. |
| SAS-79543 | The challenge message returned to agents such as the NPS agent now reflects the actual OTP delivery method (SMS, email, voice call, or SMS and email), rather than always stating that the passcode was sent to the mobile device. |
| SAS-77346 | The excessive Windows Security event log entries (Event ID 4624) generated by the SAS Logging Agent when SAS connects to MS SQL using Windows Authentication have been significantly reduced. |
| SAS-80447 | BSIDCA web service requests no longer fail intermittently or time out (for example, with HTTP 504 or Database not connected errors) under sustained, high-volume API traffic when SAS connects to MS SQL using Windows Authentication. SAS now reuses the Windows authentication token for SQL connections instead of creating a new logon session for each connection. |
| SAS-81290 | Documentation update. The Ext Dir A/C State field of the user search is now documented in Configure individual users. |
Known Issues
The following table provides a list of known issues as of the latest release.
| Issue | Synopsis |
|---|---|
| SAS-78201 | The Google Authenticator provisioning task is not automatically deleted after the 10-minute timeout. |
| SAS-78200 | The license imports must be added even when the configured database already exists, if it was created by migrating from a PostgreSQL database. |
| SAS-74581 | Connection error logs appear on the fresh installation or upgrade using SAS installer when SAS attempts to connect to PostgreSQL before it has been installed. |
