Product Description

SafeNet FIDO Key Manager for iOS is a standalone offline application that allows customers and end users to manage and setup Thales’ FIDO USB tokens and Smartcards. Users can use these FIDO Keys for a secure and phishing-resistant authentication method for logging in to various websites or applications. It allows administrators or users to be in full control of their physical FIDO Keys and not be dependent on the limited functionality offered natively by browsers or desktops. With SafeNet FIDO Key Manager you can configure the basic FIDO specifications and the unique set of additional features that Thales’s FIDO Keys offer for better security and control.

SafeNet FIDO Key Manager for iOS v1.1 introduces the following features:

  • Support for latest Thales devices: All Thales FIDO and FUSION devices, including standard and enterprise profiles, are supported.
  • Compliant with accessibility guidelines: Support for larger font sizes, contrast ratios, screen reader interaction, and more.
  • FIDO 2.1 standards compliance: Compliant to FIDO 2.1 standards.
  • Device serial number identification: Identify the device on the basis of a printed serial number matched to the serial number visible in software.
  • Credentials Management on managed devices: User can view and manage credentials on a admin managed device.

SafeNet FIDO Key Manager for iOS 1.0 release introduces the follow features:

  • Credential Management
    You have the ability to view the list of credentials associated with your FIDO Keys and can choose to remove them as well.

  • Fingerprint Management You can view the list of fingerprints associated with your FIDO Keys and can also rename and remove them as required.

  • View Whitelist
    You can view the whitelist specified by your admin for your FIDO Key.

  • New tutorial screens
    The first time you launch the application, you will receive an introduction that explains the application's functionality.

There are no known issues as part of this release.

FIDO Key Manager for iOS 0.1.0 release introduces the follow features:

  • Pin Management
    Users can Set a PIN for a new FIDO key as well as change their existing PIN using SafeNet FIDO Key Manager.

  • Device Reset Users can reset their FIDO Key if they no longer remember their PIN or if they want to clear the credentials on their FIDO Key.

    If the FIDO Key is under administrator control, the administrator can determine whether a FIDO Key reset is permitted. In such cases, users must utilize the SafeNet FIDO Key Manager on the Windows platform to reset a managed FIDO Key.

Beta releases of the operating system are not supported.

Supported FIDO Keys

  • All PKI enabled SafeNet keys available here.

SafeNet eToken FIDO series is not supported on iOS.
